Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American actress and model who also works as a television hostess as well as a comedian. Angelica made it to the finals in which she performed Symphony of Clean Bandit. The singer performed Stronger together with Kelly Clarkson, and Kechi Okwuchi at the end of the competition. The youngest contestant in show history, she came in second. Angelica Hale fell ill at age four, suffering from Strep and pneumonia as a result of an infection brought on by bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston gave her ECMO, a life-saving intervention. It was not until her kidneys recovered that she could be saved after she developed an infection with septicae and eventually suffered several organ malfunctions. It was her new normal to have peritoneal and then the hemodialysis. After spending 80 consecutive days in hospital, from near-death to long road to recovery, she finally returned home, but her life forever changed. Angelica, after a one-year dialysis treatment and a half, was now ready to undergo the biggest surgery of all: a kidney replacement. It was her own mother who donated her kidney. Angelica as well as her mom, underwent an organ transplant successfully on the 13th of September, 2013 at two incredible hospitals located right next to one another - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale has been pursuing her dreams of being a star ever since.
